Human Moderation

Why does every video need to be reviewed before publication?

The goal is for every video to be reviewed by a moderator before being made public. Yes, this sometimes means waiting before the content is visible.

Why human moderation?

Most major platforms today rely primarily on automated systems to detect problematic content. These tools process a considerable volume but can let unwanted content slip through or block legitimate videos.

We prefer to have a genuine human review of the content, which can take into account the context and creator's intent.

A platform with an editorial line

FairPlay is not intended to host all types of content. Like any online service, we will apply publishing rules defined in our Community Guidelines.

This moderation must ensure that published videos remain consistent with the project's values and offer a pleasant environment for both creators and viewers.

Note: If your video get rejected during moderation, you will receive an email including the reason provided by the moderator. The video will then be permanently deleted after 7 days.

A choice that comes at a cost

Human moderation is slower and requires more organization than fully automated moderation. But we accept this trade-off. The goal is to build a platform where every piece of public content will actually have been reviewed by an human.
